Okay, so everyone is in an uproar over the affirmation of FAQ #303: I'm offended by something I saw on the website!

Now calm down for a moment people. Did you ever consider they are right about this? All bias and thoughts aside.

I mean, they take away one group of people for holding beliefs that other people consider offensive what is next? Maybe Muslim deviants will want American and European deviants banned because they eat pork which is considered an anathema by Islam. Any argument for removing a group because of their beliefs can be used as an open doorway to remove others.

Every group can be offended by someone's beliefs. Okay so most people utterly despise Nazi's, did you ever think of why they believe what they believe?

Belief doesn't exist in a vacumn after all, and yes, I am going to outright admit that I can be sympathetic and understand some of their views. Have you ever seen me use racist language? No, and you never will. Have you ever seen me want someone put to death for being different? No, and you never will.

Yet, I believe that some people should go back to their country of origin, why? Because my country is overflowing with refugees who are little more than leeches, every year we take in more and more people who just come to my country to either get benefits or to get a better job than they would at home. I support those refugees who are here just to leech off my country being made to go home (the one in geniune need can stay, leeches should go). Does that make me a Nazi? There are some that would say it does, but I believe that because of where I live (major refugee hotspot) and what I see (refugee's bragging about how much money they've bilked the system for and what lies they told to get into my country) and anyone with any belief system is the same, we are a product of our environment largely.

I don't agree with every Nazi belief but I'm also aware that you don't fight misguided beliefs by forcing them underground, if you ostracise a group no matter how wrong you or I may think their beliefs are then you just create potential martyrs. You give them a right to feel aggreived and hard done by when you punish them for their beliefs, you create a situation where they will tell themselves that you are only hurting them because they are right and you don't want to listen to their truths, you only ingrain beliefs when you prohibit them.

I suppose you have all got the idea that Nazi's or other "hate" groups are people who run around spouting racist talk constantly and aren't nice people at all, in fact they're just like you and me, differences in beliefs aside. They're someone's brother, son, aunt, uncle, they're human and how are we any better than them if we try to silence them because we cannot bear their thoughts?

It is their deeds that are the concern, merely thinking something is not dangerous, I can think I'd like to strangle someone, they are not going to arrest me for thinking I'd like to do that, if I tried or succeeded in throttling the person then I'd be arrested.

As a former PVA, I'd like to tell you this, we got more proven complaints of unprovoked attacks on this sort of hate group than we got proven complaints of them attacking someone. In fact I don't ever recall having to ban a serious member of one of those groups for attacking other deviants. Most of these people are essentially harmless, so they want to believe something you don't like? So what? Does it hurt you? Their beliefs can't infect you through the internet after all.

Another thing, it is foolish to try to wipe away or re-write the past, Hitler wasn't a monster, he was a human being just like you and me. When you demonise something you give it power, the more you try to scrub him and his legacy away the more it will grow through rebellion, through fertile minds. Already people jump like scared jack rabbits at the name "hitler", it is word people, it was a person, he headed one of the most brutal regimes of the 20th century true but he was human, in each other us resides the potential for another like him, this is an unpleasant truth, we could all have been hitler or like hitler, this is the dark side of our nature, the more we run from the dark side of humanity the greater it's shadow grows because to fear something is to cede power to it.

The "answers" Hitler presented to the world can only be destroyed with understanding and light thrown on them, the more we try to suppress them, the more we try to suppress our own instinctual responses to that which is different, the more they will find a way out. Also if we fear and hide the past then we are doomed to repeat it until we face it.

The fact is this isn't a fight worth fighting, many of the deviants on today's site have no idea of the fights that are worth fighting, the ones that go on silently in the background while you are all rioting and making noise over inconsequencial matters. Many of you have little clue as to half the things that go on around this site in the shadows, you only know what you are told and many of you do not know how to tell lies from truth, you may think you do but really you don't because the only people who know which is which are those who speak them or those that have them spoken against them.

I'm not speaking about the whole Spyed vs Jark thing, though I will tell you regarding that, the truth is a matter of perception.

Many of you really have no idea, there are layers within layers, thoughts within thoughts, any "truth" you are given is filtered through perceptions and carefully snipped. I doubt some of you even know half of what goes down in the various communities and subgroups, and I doubt you ever could if you tried. dA is a complex society, superficially it is more like the highschool but there are currents here, currents that can snare the unwary, people who know how to offer something with one hand to conceal what the other is up to and plenty to lead you astray with sob stories and so-called truths so flimsy that they collapse when inspected.

Seriously, give over on the Nazi thing, it isn't worth fighting and quite frankly if they do give into you then it'll only make these people more sure in their beliefs being right. Nothing convinces a man more than real persecution. (though there are plenty who will see persecution where there is none).

So what is new around here?

Well firstly:

I have been finally disagnosed with Aspergers syndrome. So I'm coming to terms with that. Mostly I feel relief, You'd think I wouldn't since it's yet another disability to add onto the list but really it's a relief to know I'm not crazy.

My lump turned out to be an infection in the lymph glands, it has vanished and hopefully won't return.

I've been faffing around with a few bits of art, I feel strangely unfocused lately and incapable of settling, feels like I still need to do something, perhaps I'll be able to settle once I've dealt with it.

Otherwise, saw X-men 3 today, ticket prices were disgusting, they've doubled them yet again, bloody monopoly >.<. Not a particularly bad movie, nor a particularly great movie, I do think Juggernaut in particular was terrible as was Jean Grey's role in the film. Unfortunately I think they're planning an x-men 4, so I'm praying it doesn't turn into a land before time wanna-be with tonnes of poor sequels. I like x-men but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

Then rented a french art house subbed movie, was left wondering what is so arty about a movie with no clear plot, quite a bit of underaged nudity and no really resolution or explanation. All I've got to say is Innocence is one of those movies to watch if you like weird ass slightly creepy wtf movies. Definitely do not watch it though if you object to seeing underaged nudity which did see a bit of gratuitous usage, I got rapidly sick of seeing 9 year olds flouncing around in water in their knickers, some of the water scenes in particular were just plain not needed imho, while I recognise cultural differences I felt like I was watching a pedophile's wet dream at times.

Was it good? It wasn't particular bad, could have done with a lot more work, they had a very creepy vibe and it kept me guessing until the end but really I ended up with more questions than answers so it bugged the hell out of me, if you like everything wrapped up neatly then Innocence is not a movie for you.

Other than that, just a bit meh around here at this point.

Aww what a sweet innocent looking girl. (Then they find out that I'm not as innocent as I look)

Everything, I'm very independent and I hate admitting I can't handle something, if I'm asking for help it's usually because it's needed desperately.

I don't miss my childhood. It was a dark time in my life. Besides, I still climb trees occasionally, most people don't realise I'm in my 20's because I don't look it. My hip and back usually kill me afterwards but it is fun sometimes.

Yes, it's kinda cute and it has a hidden meaning.

Presently? I think they call the colour cream, soon it'll be purple and white though.

I rarely cold call unless I have to since my shyness is almost paralysing, so most of the time people call me.
